Common Acquarica del Capo (LE) The complex Celsorizzo is a monumental fortified farm (also called "Gelsorizzo") and can be dated, at least for the first part of the plant, the first half of the sixteenth century. The farm has a high square tower with loopholes and trapdoors and other rooms added in the nineteenth century as deductible from the date 1807 engraved on the portal of access. The adjacent tower dovecote, a circular, was built in 1550 by the feudal family Guarino as evidenced by the coat of arms and an inscription on the front door. The inscription, crudely engraved and partly eroded, reads: "FABRICIUS GUARINUS Columbarium HOC FRUCTUS AUCUPANDIQUE CAUSS CONSTRUXIT SIBI SUIS AMICISQUE Anno Domini MDL" - |
